Helen Holmes
Director
Helen started her 28-year career in accountancy with one of the ‘Big Four’ London-based firms. She joined Stables Thompson & Briscoe in 2008 and became a director in 2009. She is responsible for audit, accounts, tax compliance, tax planning and advisory work specialising in charities.
Helen has two grown-up sons and spends her time gardening, walking and generally keeping fit and active.
Chloe Chapman-Hastwell
Director
Chloe joined STB in August 2007 as a trainee, initially studying for the AAT qualification at Kendal College before undertaking Chartered training. Chloe joined the board in 2015 and manages the Accounts and Audit department and enjoys helping her clients.
Chloe was brought up on a hill farm near Kirkby Stephen and continues to live in the area with her husband and daughter. In her spare time, Chloe enjoys going on holiday.
James Mason
Director
James joined STB in August 2010 as a trainee where he initially studied for the AAT qualification at Kendal College before undertaking Chartered training. He became a director in October 2021 and is responsible for audits and accounts work specialising in Academies.
James has lived in Kendal all his life and is married and has a young son. He is a sports fan and spends his spare time playing football and attending music concerts and festivals.
