We aim to recruit one apprentice or trainee each year, usually in March/April, to commence training in August.
Applicants need to be numerate and have good communication skills, IT literate and be ready for hard work. GCSE at Grade B or above in English and Maths are a pre-requisite and preference will be given to applicants with A Levels equivalent at least to 260 UCAS points.
On joining our firm our trainees will normally start training at Kendal College studying for an Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification. The course normally takes two years to complete.
The AAT qualification provides exemption from some of the exams for the Institute of Chartered Accountants which follow. Qualified AAT employees may then be given the option of taking the Association of Taxation Technician (ATT) qualification which can also take two years to complete.
Trainees who succeed AAT and ATT can then commence an ACA training contract for a minimum of 36 months, during which period we offer a structured programme of learning together with on-the-job work experience and individual work-based tuition.
We pay for all course fees and study leave throughout the AAT, ATT and Chartered Training.
We do not have any vacancies at the current time but please check this page regularly.
